Moonlight Madness this Friday

Leader staff

The annual Moonlight Madness event in Slave Lake is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 19, if online sources are correct.
Myslavelake.com has the following:

Santa Claus parade, window display contest, Christmas tree lighting and all-seasons market. The lighting of the tree is to happen at Citizens Park in downtown Slave Lake at 6 p.m. The parade kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

The market is to be at the field house in the MRC.

In addition to all that, Fix Coffee Bar & Bakery in downtown Slave Lake is hosting its fourth annual gingerbread house competition. Entries are due Nov. 18 and will be on display Nov. 19 during Moonlight Madness.

We’ve also heard that Kimberly Hughes has resigned as manager of the Chamber. Jenna Gutowski is providing administrative assistance for the time being; she works out of Community Futures, and will be answering the Chamber phone and responding to emails.

An entry in last year’s Fix gingerbread house contest.
