April 19, 1937 – September 1, 2022
As the last surviving Hodgson, Agnes was predeceased by her mother Maud Hodgson in 1944 and her father Harry Hodgson in 1952 as well as all of her siblings Freddie, Gladys, Dave and Cora.
She was also predeceased by her husband Jim Brooks in 1994 and her son David Brooks in 2021.
Agnes is survived by her daughters Sandra (Dan) Conlon of Whitecourt, AB and Marlene (Wayne) Boreland of Widewater, AB; along with grandchildren Chris Conlon (Carmen), Sheri Payne (Alan), Michael Leonard (Ashley), Kyle Conlon, and Keli Boreland (TJ); and her great grandchildren Camille, Cassie, Christian, Colbie, Caiden, Nevaeh, Keegan, Cael, Neisha and Zoey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their aunt.
Funeral services were held at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Slave Lake, AB
on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
Those who knew Agnes may, in lieu of flowers, donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of
Agnes Brooks.
The family of Agnes Brooks would like to thank Dr. Kaur and the staff at the Slave Lake Healthcare Centre who assisted her while she was in the hospital along with the staff of the Vanderwell Heritage Place where she resided for one year prior to being in the hospital.
