David was born in South River, ON and grew up in the little Village of Searchmont, just outside of Sault Ste. Marie. He moved to Calgary, AB as a young adult where he worked at a bakery in Safeway for many years until moving to Slave Lake. He was a very caring and comical soul who knew how to tell a joke and make anyone laugh. He was also extremely musical, playing all kinds of instruments throughout his life, especially the guitar and harmonica. He is greatly missed by all who knew him.
As per David’s request due to covid, a funeral service will not take place though he will be buried at the Slave Lake Cemetery along side his father, James Brooks at a later date.
