It is with great sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of Janice Patricia Yarosh, longtime resident of Woodlands County, AB, on October 5, 2022, at the age of 75 years.
Janice will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Dwane Davis; brother, Donald (Irene) Yarosh of Slave Lake, AB; sister, Judith (James) Prichuk of Peace River, AB; nephews, Dustin Yarosh, Troy (Shannon) Yarosh; five great nephews; one great niece; and many more dear family relations and numerous friends.
We shall each cherish the many wonderful memories of the times we shared with Janice. Her warmth and gentleness of spirit, along with her beautiful smile will be forever remembered.
Janice Patricia was born into this world on June 13, 1947, to the delight of her parents, Harry and Annie Yarosh, of Kinuso, AB. Throughout her life she always enjoyed the activities and time spent with family and friends.
Janice was a welcoming and excellent hostess who over the years, in celebration of many special occasions, entertained at her home, providing the most delicious home cooked meals and enjoyable evenings for her guests.
For many years during the summer months, Janice and Dwane obtained great pleasure from family and friends who joined them to visit at their camping lot located by Lesser Slave Lake. Janice truly enjoyed the stories, gossip and laughter shared with friends over a blazing campfire, under a star-filled sky.
Janice tremendously enjoyed outdoor activities, whether tending to her lovely flowers or vegetable garden, trekking though the forest on a quad, assisting with little projects on the acreage, or simply relaxing beside the backyard firepit in the evenings. She had a myriad of interests and hobbies over the years and was an avid reader, treasuring a good mystery book written by her favourite authors, to settle into and enjoy.
Janice had a gentle, kind, and sincere nature that will be dearly missed by those who had the opportunity to be a part of her world. Although she had a quiet demeanor, Janice also possessed great inner strength of courage and tenacity. She was truly a remarkable woman.
Janice was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Annie Yarosh; brother, Harry Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Kerner and Lily Yarosh; and nephew, Brad Yarosh.
A private memorial service will be held for Janice the summer of 2023, with inurnment in Swan Valley Cemetery.
