Obituary – Mike Romaniuk

A dearly loved husband and father, Mike Romaniuk, passed away peacefully from this life the evening of January ­2, 2019 at Points West Living in Slave Lake, Alberta, following a gradual decline in health. He was always surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers throughout his time there, but especially so during the final days of his life.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Barbara and their three children: Shane; Kim (Joanne Hunter) and their children Kyle (Brittney) & great-granddaughter Rhett, Stevie (Quinton) Warawa & great-grandchildren Myles & Emmy, Cathan (Sascha) Perry & great-granddaughter Remington, Cailin Perry, Kelvin (Kailynn Odegaard) Perry & great-grandchildren Sawyer & Nash; Shelley (Cory MacKenzie) and her son Justin Knahs. He is also survived by loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugenia and Ananij; brothers Mark and Hardy, two additional siblings – a brother and sister in Poland; and grandson, Jordan Knahs.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the family & friends who have supported us during this time of loss.
