Pro wrestling show returns to Slave Lake June 3

Monster Pro Wrestling is back in Slave Lake on June 3, with a show at the curling rink. It’ll feature Slave Lake’s own Tarzan Hayes, in the main event. The show is called ‘Born to be Wild.’

“Me and my tag team partner, K.C. have a title shot,” says Hayes, AKA Derri Deschover. “Hopefully it goes better this time.”

He’s referring to the Welcome to the Jungle show in Slave Lake back in March, when the duo’s match against the KarnEvil of Kaos (Jerry Jester and Prankster Pete) ended in a ‘no contest.’

Deschover says there’ll probably be half a dozen matches for fans to enjoy. All ages are welcome to attend, and tickets are available at Alimo’s Pizzeria in Slave Lake.

Speaking of Alimo’s, they’ll be selling pizzas at the event, same as last time. Beer will also be served, as well as popcorn and bubble tea.

“It should be a good show,” Deschover says.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the action in the ring commences at 7 p.m.
