RMSS had a slow-paced, relaxing last week before Christmas. Here’s what we accomplished:
Athletics:
Sr. Boys Rams Basketball

The Rams traveled to Kinuso on the 19th. The boys lost 54-40 in a hard fought battle.
Jr. Boys’ Basketball
The team hosted a league game in our gym on Wednesday, December 19th. They were up against Prairie River Raiders from High Prairie. Our Jr. Rams played a rock-solid game, shooting many three’s from outside the arc. The half-time score was 31-30. The Rams played their hearts out but came up a bit short in the end. The final score was 70-62. This takes their league standings to one win and three losses. Keep working hard team! You have improved so much already and the best is yet to come.
Wrestling
Congrats to the wrestling team, as they wrestled in Wetaskiwin this a couple weekends ago. Congrats go out to Oscar Horsman who won a bronze medal. Kailyn Sherrard and Ephraim Marschner earned silver medals in their weight class. In  the senior high division, Zane Lightning – Fillion got a gold and a silver medal while Zack Buchanan and Kenya Ross earned golds of their own. Great start to the season team!
Student Recognition:
Each week, dozens of students are nominated for this award around our building. They get nominated for kind deeds, great academic efforts/results, acts of citizenship and leadership. The list is read aloud throughout the school to recognize all nominees and then a random draw determines our weekly winner. Congratulations to last week’s winner, who was Zoelle Carifelle!
