SL RCMP looking for suspect in aggravated assault

As of July 31, James Beaver is still at large, and wanted by the RCMP. The last place he was seen was Wabasca. He is wanted in connection with a July 18th stabbing in Slave Lake.

Slave Lake RCMP want the public’s help finding James Beaver, says a July 22 RCMP news release. He is wanted for aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, and failure to comply with a release order.

On July 18th, 2020 at 7:56 a.m., the Slave Lake RCMP responded to a report that a man was stabbed. RCMP officers arrived at the scene. They found three victims. A man, in his 20’s, had a stab wound in his ribs. There were also two other victims who had been attacked with bear spray.

The stabbing victim received serious but non-life threatening injuries. All three victims were taken to Slave Lake hospital for medical treatment.

Police investigated. Beaver was named as the suspect.

Beaver is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • five feet two inches tall, 105 pounds.
  • He has various face tattoos. These are:
    • two tear drops face tattoos below his right eye
    • a cross face tattoo under his left eye
    • and a face tattoo of “F.T.L” above his left eyebrow
  • He usually wears all red, with a red bandanna.
