Seniors companion program
looking for volunteers
The Town of Slave Lake ‘Buddies for Seniors’ program is up and running, says Slave Lake FCSS co-ordinator Haylie Millard. The gist of the program is that volunteers would commit at least one-hour per week to spending time with a local senior. There is an application process which pairs volunteers and program-users together. Millard says you’ll be matched based on interests and to call 780-805-6532 or email [email protected] for more information.

Families are able to register at the Slave Lake multi-rec centre or by calling 780-849-8028.
