Slave Lake MS Walk

Jamie Paleck, who has multiple sclerosis (MS), with her dog Baby during the recent MS Walk in Slave Lake. Close to 30 people participated in Team Jam-on. The walk started at the Visitor Information Centre in Slave Lake on Sunday May 24. The teammates walked two kilometres. This is the second time Paleck and her family participated in the walk.
Last year, they did the five kilometre option. Normally the walk is in Edmonton, St. Albert, Grande Prairie, etc., but this year people walked in their home towns due to COVID-19.
Coming up, Pat Potvin of Slave Lake is participating in his 21st straight MS 150 bicycle ride, another MS fundraiser. He’s riding his 8.1-kilometre training route 21 times on June 27 and 28.
