Normally this sort of stuff fills up Page 9, but we had so much of it this week we decided to give it its own space.

The Slave Lake Minor Soccer Association registration is open. Teams are five-and-under up to 19 and under. The season runs from May 18 to June 26. The registration deadline is March 29. Register at the MRC or at www.slavelakesoccer.com.

The Slave Lake and District Chamber of Commerce is busy helping nonprofits work together. On February 26 and March 9, the second and third meeting to help groups work together were held. The date of the next meeting wasn’t known at print time. Anyone interested in attending the next meeting contact Kimberley Hughes at [email protected]

This just in from the Emes-Lukan Memorial Memorial Society: it has money to give away. “Are you a non-profit, sports or community group that requires funds to serve Slave Lake & area?” asks the society in a poster that is going around. “If so, please email [email protected] to request an application.” The deadline for applications is April 1, 2020. The society has given out $15,000 so far.

Slave Lake Childcare is hosting a family information session on March 15. See ad on Page 2 for details.
