Prax Enterprises of Slave Lake is building a new shop at its property near Mooney Creek west of town. According to Kelly Adelman of Prax, it will be a better shop for the Prax mechanics and welders to work in. Space in the existing shop in Slave Lake’s northwest industrial area is tight, she says, and the new one will have better lighting, better ventilation and better equipment, not to mention more space. That will leave “much needed space to park all of our big trucks inside in town,” she says, “as most contain water, so it’s a struggle in the winter.” The main office will eventually move over to the new shop as well.
