Spring bird migration is well underway

The Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory migration articles will be starting shortly. However, to whet the readers’ appetites here are some birds photographed in Slave Lake on April 20.

Migratory birds are flooding the area, and we have photos of some of them. Above, a flock of evening grosbeaks rests in a poplar near the bridge by the Slave Lake hospital.
