Spring hockey for local kids

Slave Lake U11 hockey players Kade Morrison-Cardinal, left, and Noah Eben were in Regina, Saskatchewan for four days earlier this month, playing hockey for a team out of Calgary. According to Noah’s dad Travis, they did quite well. Playing in the Oskana Cup for the G4 Mountaineers, Eben got one shut-out in eight games and Morrison-Cardinal scored nine goals. Their team finished second overall in the U11 age group. The duo had attended Native Provincials in April, and were scouted at the time, which is how they ended up being offered spots on the Mountaineers.
