Some of the Roland Michener Secondary School students taking part in a sspin-a-thon on March 23. Each bike was manned for 12 hours by a team – volleyball, basketball, wrestling, band, etc. It ran from noon to midnight. Students were encouraged to cheer their teammates on as they cycled in place. Vice-principal Deanna Sloan headed up the fundraiser. She says, “it’s is our annual athletics fundraisers for their seasons of play for all our teams through out the school year. It pays for them to compete by helping with tournament fees, busing and hotel rooms.”
