Of the 47 Slave Lake Sharks who competed at the Slave Lake competitive swim meeting, 10 won aggregate medals.

Aggregate medals are the top three places based on their times from the races for their age group.
Slave Lake Sharks hosted the first swim meet of the season on May 25 at the Northern Lights Aquatic Centre in Slave Lake.

“It was a very successful weekend,” says Sharks Head Coach Darcy Comeau. “Many swimmers swam personal bests, and our new swimmers had a great meet. We are very grateful for all of the volunteers who helped make our swim meet such a success.”

In the men’s 18+, all three top aggregate spots went to Sharks. Matthew Short won the aggregate gold. Darcy Garratt won aggregate silver. Ethan McLaren won aggregate bronze.

Shark Jillian Williams won the aggregate silver in the women’s 18+.

In the boys 15-17, Shark Kellen Tissink won the aggregate silver.

In boys 15-17 para, Shark Mukundi Shambare won the aggregate gold.

In girls 15-17, Shark Grace Auger won aggregate gold, and Sharks Brie Hoover and Leanne McLeod tied for the aggregate bronze.

In girls 13-14, Jorgia Green won aggregate bronze.

The meet had 168 swimmers.

The Sharks competed against each other and swimmers from Beaverlodge Barracudas, Valleyview Vipers, High Level Stingrays, Fairview Olympians, Peace River Porpoises, High Prairie Dolphins, Grimshaw Gators, Smoky River Manatees, and Grande Prairie Aquarians.
