Tolko Industries announced recently it would be supporting the Northern Haven Support Society (women’s shelter) and the Boys and Girls Club of Slave Lake. It’s part of a $150,000 program, company-wide, for 2017, called Community Investment Program (CIP).
“Our focus is on supporting organizations that provide programs and services for at-risk youth,” says Tolko President and CEO Brad Thorlakson. “The organizations we are partnering with do excellent work in our communities, and we are very happy to support their efforts and the programs they provide to assist children and families.”
“We know this donation is something our employees are proud to be a part of,” says Athabasca Division Plant Manager Tyler Harris.
The two local organizations received $5,000 apiece from Tolko’s CIP.
