On March. 21, 2023, at approximately 3 p.m., Slave Lake RCMP responded to a transport truck rollover on Highway 754 near kilometer 45. Police and fire services attended the scene, where the truck lost control, spilling its contents onto the road and surrounding area. The contents are described as contaminated soil and were treated as hazardous. Crews attended to clean up the affected area appropriately.

The driver of the semi did not require medical attention, reporting only minor injury.

Traffic along Highway 754 was re-routed around the site to allow for emergency crews to work.
