Warm heads and hearts

Mrs. LaFrance’s Grade 1 class showed off their new toques on January 10th.
This was the second year that the Rotary Club of Slave Lake bought yarn for local knitters and crocheters to make toques for C.J. Schurter Elementary School in Slave Lake. This year, 10 community volunteers plus people at Vanderwell Heritage Place made 350 toques and some scarves. The Rotary plans to do it again next school year. The project was funded by a donation from TC Energy.
