Woman arrested in residential B&E

A Slave Lake woman is facing charges of breaking, entering and assault, after an incident April 7 in the northwest part of town.

According to the Slave Lake RCMP, on that date, of “a suspicious female trying to gain entry to a residence.”

At the scene, police learned from the homeowner that the woman had assaulted the person after being confronted while she was attempting to flee. Officers located a suspect and arrested her.

The 31-year-old was charged breaking and entering to a residence, plus assault. She was released after a hearing. She is to appear at Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake on May 8.

“I continue to encourage members of the community to call and report any suspicious person or vehicle seen within the community” says Slave Lake RCmp Staff Sgt. Casey Bruyns.

“This call of a suspicious person led directly to her arrest.”
